Dance studios, schools and companies across the country are coming together to show they are dancers who care by raising money for Dancers Responding to AIDS. Now you can get involved, too. The money you raise helps people in need receive lifesaving medical care, counseling, nutritious meals and more in all 50 states.

How can you help someone across the country and across the street?

The quickest and easiest way to raise money for DRA is by doing an audience appeal at the end of a performance. After the last bow, a dancer from the company explains to the audience a little about what Dancers Responding to AIDS does and then asks them to make a contribution on their way out of the theatre.

How else can you help?

Here are a few others suggestions for ways you and your friends can be involved with DRA:

• Master Class: Hold a special class at your school where participation is donation-based. For example, an instructor could teach a class outside of their regular schedule and maybe a different style.
• Student-Choreographed Show: Let your creative expression flow! Gather your friends to put on a benefit performance for DRA by choreographing your own pieces. A performance doesn’t necessarily have to be a lavish show at a theatre, you could do the performance in your studio.
• Online Fundraising: Aunt Suzie can’t come to the show or participate in the master class? Let us help you create an online fundraising page for your event so anyone, anywhere can donate.
