Michael Palm was a most generous and enthusiastic supporter of Classical Action. He was also, more than anyone, the person who spearheaded the concept of private benefit house concerts, hosting several of them himself at his penthouse apartment 37 floors above Lincoln Center. A supporter of a wide range of performing arts and HIV/AIDS organizations, Michael died in 1998, but his memory will thrive in the spirit and name of The Michael Palm Series, to benefit Classical Action.

The Michael Palm Series is underwritten by a generous five-year grant from Michael’s foundation. The concerts reflect, we hope, the highest musical standards that were so important to Michael, himself a great lover and aficionado of classical music. Each season of The Michael Palm Series consists of three house concerts in New York City and one house concert in select city in another part of the country. The first season raised more than $250,000 for Classical Action, and we hope each subsequent season will enjoy the same financial and artistic success.
